Automated Conveyorised Sewing for Banners, Signs & Graphics

Our conveyorised sewing systems automate the feeding and sewing of oversized printed textiles, PVC banners and display graphics. Each system can be configured around your material, finished product and production volume.

Turn large-format sewing into a controlled production process

Handling large banners and graphics on a conventional sewing machine can require multiple operators. Material must be supported, guided and continuously repositioned while the operator attempts to maintain a straight, consistent seam.

An automated conveyor sewing machine supports and transports the material through the sewing process at a controlled speed. This can reduce manual handling, improve seam consistency and allow oversized products to be manufactured by fewer operators.

Why choose our conveyor sewing machine?

The Advance ASA-VType/310C and ASA-VType+/410C are typically used by companies within the banners, signs and printed fabric graphics industry who are typically using it to help reduce the bottleneck when it comes to finishing any of the below applications:

  • Silicone-edge and keder applications
  • PVC banners
  • Velcro attaching
  • Mesh banners for HERAS fencing
  • Printed textiles
  • Exhibition graphics
  • Flag pole-pockets
  • Fabric displays

SEG/Keder Attaching

Conveyorised sewing provides a controlled method of attaching silicone edging to printed display textiles. The conveyor supports the graphic throughout production while the guide maintains the position and tension of the silicone strip.

Typical applications

  • Retail lightboxes
  • Exhibition graphics
  • Illuminated displays
  • Fabric tension frames
  • Large-format dye-sublimation graphics
  • Replaceable retail display panels

Hemming/Pole Pockets

A conveyor system supports and transports heavy or oversized PVC graphics while the sewing head produces a controlled hem or reinforced edge. This reduces the need for operators to pull and reposition large banners manually.

Typical applications:

  • Outdoor advertising banners
  • Building wraps
  • Event banners
  • Exhibition graphics
  • Scaffold banners
  • Sports and stadium signage
  • Large promotional displays

Velcro Attaching

Velcro attachments are available as optional extras on our machines to guide the tape and material into the sewing head together. This allows long lengths of hook-and-loop tape to be sewn accurately onto banners, graphics and technical textile panels.

Typical applications:

  • Exhibition graphics
  • Fabric walling
  • Stage and event graphics
  • Temporary displays
  • Printed textile panels
  • Removable covers
  • Modular display systems

HERAS Fence Banners

A popular, new application that we're seeing more and more is a solution for mesh fence banners that require long, durable hems that can withstand repeated handling and outdoor exposure. A conveyor system set-up with a bespoke tape attaching guide supports the mesh while producing consistent folded edges without stretching or distorting the printed panel.

Typical applications:

  • HERAS fence covers
  • Construction-site branding
  • Event perimeter graphics
  • Crowd-control barriers
  • Temporary-fencing banners
  • Outdoor mesh signage
  • Sports and festival fencing
