This week, we were honoured to welcome a delegation from the Welsh Government and Wrexham Council, including First Minister for Wales, Eluned Morgan, and Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Ken Skates. It may have been a last-minute whirlwind visit but still marked a significant moment for our team and provided us with a platform to highlight some of our recent innovations and discuss the future of the British textile industry!
Proudly based in Wrexham, North Wales, our family-run business has grown from a one-man-band into one of the UK’s leading suppliers of industrial sewing machines. We specialise in automated CNC cutting systems and textile equipment for applications ranging from fashion to furniture, automotive, signage, aerospace, and beyond. During the visit, we had the opportunity to discuss some of our bespoke automation solutions and showcase how we are helping UK manufacturers increase productivity, overcome the skilled labour shortage, and reshore production.
From state-of-the-art pattern sewing systems to robotic "Sewbotics®" manufacturing cells, our team develops innovative textile machinery designed to revolutionise efficiency across the industry. Our guests were particularly interested discussing how automation and digitisation are helping small to mid-sized manufacturers streamline their workflows while reducing reliance on overseas production — key themes that align with both the Welsh Government’s manufacturing ambitions and the UK’s broader economic and environmental goals.
The visit also highlighted our long-term commitment to R&D, skills development, and our hopes for future collaboration with local institutions such as Coleg Cambria and Wrexham University. As advocates for growing Wales’ industrial capabilities, we were proud to demonstrate not just the machinery we build, but the vision we have for the future of smart manufacturing in the UK.
We’d like to thank the First Minister, Cabinet Secretary for Transport, and Wrexham Council for taking the time to visit and for showing genuine interest in the challenges and opportunities within our industry. We look forward to continuing the conversation and working together to create a stronger, more sustainable future for UK textile manufacturing.
Stay tuned for more updates from the team — and if you’d like to learn more about our range of industrial textile equipment and automation systems, feel free to get in touch or explore our website.
