AE Sewing Machines sponsor Wrexham AFC! - AE Sewing Machines

As you probably know by now, AE Sewing Machines are a family-run business proudly based in Wrexham, North Wales. We are famous for being one of the UK’s leading suppliers of industrial sewing, cutting, and pressing equipment, and for providing the best support for our customers. What you might not know about us is that we’re also big on supporting local football teams and have recently added Wrexham AFC to that list!

Over the years we’ve given our support and sponsorship (and cheers on the sidelines!) to a variety of different teams:

Rhos Aelwyd FC. We sponsored the under-14s team, and our logo featured on their kit! It was great to see the team grow in confidence and improve throughout the season, having a great time and gelling as a team. They also won plenty of matches!

Cefn Druids AFC. We formed a partnership with this prestigious Welsh Premier League team which is well-known in the Wrexham area. We were proud to sponsor them while they trained on their new 3G pitch and initiated plans to start a ladies’ football team.

Penycae FC. We sponsored matches during the season and are proud to support a club which provides an inclusive sporting environment to residents of the parish of Pen-y-cae and the surrounding communities!

Wrexham AFC. With so many supporters in the office, we thought it was about time we became sponsors of our town’s team! Wrexham AFC is the oldest football club in Wales and the fourth oldest professional association football team in the world. It has a prestigious history but has recently found fame on the world stage thanks to the new owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Although some of us come from further afield, the majority of our team were born and raised in the area and have always supported Wrexham AFC. Now that they are under new ownership it feels surreal but exciting to know that the club, and local businesses such as ours, have gained international attention. We never could’ve guessed that members of our team would be chatting to Hollywood celebrities at a Wrexham game!

At last Saturday’s game, the new owners came to visit Wrexham and to introduce themselves to the fans. They took penalties on the pitch with the first team squad and even had a go at speaking Welsh! Sadly, the team didn’t win their first home game with the owners watching, as they drew 1-1 with Torquay. Hopefully their next game is more successful!

It’s great to be able to support our local team as they try to gain promotion back into the football league! We wish them the best of luck for the season and will be there to cheer them on (some more loudly than others!) every step of the way.

The pictures of our team (some serious, but mostly silly) and a few of the many industrial machines and parts we supply which now feature on the walls at the Racecourse.
