Now that the dust has settled after a very busy May, we can look back over two wonderful trade shows that AE Sewing Machines attended - Texprocess and Make it British Live. These shows took place within two weeks of each other and they certainly kept the team on their toes! Here's how we got on at each event...
Texprocess Frankfurt 2019
Our team flew out to Frankfurt in Germany to exhibit with both Juki and Pathfinder at Texprocess last month. The Juki stand was packed with all of the latest innovations, including brand-new digital equipment and machines from the new Simply Smart range, such as the DDL-8000A lockstitch machine. There was a lot to get excited about on Juki's stand, with their digital machines looking to change the landscape of industrial sewing as we know it. On Pathfinder's stand, the Australian company was running demonstrations on their L-Series and M-Series CNC cutting machines. As always, spectators were massively impressed with the speed and accuracy of the cutting machines. Texprocess is widely recognised as the world's largest textile manufacturing trade show and this year's event did not disappoint. Our team was amazed at the sheer size of the exhibition and the number of companies that were exhibiting and visiting. It was a true privilege to exhibit with both Juki and Pathfinder, two companies who we have an excellent working relationship with as official UK suppliers.
Make it British Live Trade Show
A week after Texprocess ended, we were making preparations to exhibit at Make it British Live. The trade show, formerly known as Meet the Manufacturer, celebrates UK manufacturers (with a heavy focus on textiles) and allows them to come together and promote their businesses. We have been exhibiting at this trade show for a number of years now and this year's event was just as enjoyable as the previous ones. We had a range of Juki industrial sewing machines on our stand along with a variety of spare parts, accessories and cutting equipment. It was great to see so many new faces and even some old friends visiting the stand to see what we had to offer. This year's change of venue, the Business Design Centre in Islington, was a welcome change that seemed to go down very well with exhibitors and visitors alike. We met a lot of interesting people at the show and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. What's more, John Rylance of Juki Central Europe joined us at the show to prevent us with a special award from Juki - it was a lovely way to round up a great week!
We have one more trade show in the works this year as it stands. In October, we're teaming up with Pathfinder once more to exhibit at Advanced Engineering in Birmingham. If the success of our previous exhibitions this year is anything to go by, we have plenty of reason to be excited by this upcoming trade show!
