A cylinder-bed overlock machine with VT vacuum cutter, air foot-lift and waste extraction unit is by the far the best option for doing this. Not only is using a cylinder-bed a lot more convenient than a standard overlock (less-handling), but for maximising productivity and making the process super-efficient there is no better alternative.

The sleeves on HDU and ICU medical gowns needs to be ultrasonically welded to protect against any contamination. If the seams cannot be ultrasonically welded, then the other option is to overlock them together and hot air tape seam seal them with. The main difference between welded seams and tape sealed seams is that welding them uses only one process and is therefore far faster, efficient, stronger and more durable.

Strap-making
Using one of our latest bespoke developments, we have a standard single needle lockstitch, modified to be able to be run automatically, hands-free using start, stop and reset buttons. These machines have been fitted with a few other auxiliary devices such a special-made folder, electronic puller feed and slack-feed device to ensure smooth sewing. In factories we have supplied these to, we have 1 operator running up to 4 machines at a time. That is efficiency!
